Aiming at the high fields of Monte Meta

I've walked from Colle Ciglio (mt 969 above sea level) through K4 in Valle Inferno, keeping the path and after Fonte degli Uccelli reaching the K3 through Selva Bella, kept Valle Lunga on my right, walked near the Guardarola on the left. After that, turn 90 deg on right and keep climbing again until reaching Monte Tartaro crest from North(north-east).

While walking on the heights of windy crest reaching Mount Tartaro I couldn't keep from aiming at Mount Meta grass fields on the top.

I know I'll be there. I feel I'd be there now. I know it will not happen now. Now I'm walking on the crest to the top of Monte Tartaro.

The breeze on the crest.

Approaching the top of a over 2k, aiming to feel the respect to the peace of the high fields, I imagine life being a constant flow of steps and breaths. After walking under the sun in such a day, the windy crest is a sort of renewed relief for the breeze is for me a gentle touch refreshing, summed to stepping on the heights and the 360 degree sight is just of quiet welcoming marvel. Every time I do it.

A sight that makes me grateful

The most rewarning encounter for me is with a Golden Eagle (Aquila Reale Appenninica - Aquila chrysaetos) and the indicator of the biodiversity health status of the entire area. Still on the crest some steps after its slope I left behind me, I took the binocular and tried to check if one of them was flying around. And found a very high gliding on my left(east). unfortunately my only shooting camera is my smartphone and took what I could, in a sunny day it's even more difficult but I wanted a proof of its presence.

I'll be there

Every time I see sub-alpine green fields on top of a mount I feel I'd appreciate reaching to that peace.

It's where no higher the mountain can get, the Chamois show up there how agile and powerful they are and not being susceptible to same gravitational rules applying to us. Such a unique beauty tipycal of central Apennine. And the deers they up there too. The fields are full of life like a single living being and sorrounding clouds can be touched at times giving the chance of a unique experience.

It's very rewarding for me. And while I reach top of Monte Tartaro I wonder how it could be on top of them both in a single day hike, approaching Monte Meta from its north-west face, from Monte Tartaro there's a way I'm sure it can be done, easily enough.

And by that way I'd be approaching Monte Meta top from the side where the green field is, last steps climbing from the crest joining Tartaro's summit and making the first steps on the plain of the sub-alpine field, that grass, there I'll know I can get no higher.
