In peace and respect, I walk the Earth.

A website to write about what I do when mainly walking the Italian central Apennine, an environment in which I meet Nature. I walk those mountains, and valleys in all conditions, appreciating what is and how it is in that ancient mountain chain. I prefer to hike alone and be free of deciding what path to follow in a continous discover of how welcoming 'our' planet is.

I prefer to do so because I can decide myself knowing what I'm able to do and ususally it's long rides and steep altitude ranges with an average of 9-11-13 hours walking a day, early rising when the night is still long to flow up to the morning twilight.

I don't hike for collecting peaks or valleys or shelter's names on my badge list, nothing like that. With all the care I can practice, I try to not be an intruder but a part of a huge ancient primordial biodiversity(as we humans call it) and it takes years of welcoming patience before starting to understand and protect those areas. And I try and do so as much as I can.

So for the outdoor free walkers like me that enjoy a good reading as a exchange of feeling, information and mostly views on experiencing biodiversity with gratitude and respect, I felt like starting this website.

Where the name comes from

For how I see it, a hike can last 30 minutes or 30 days. It's something that generates a deep interest as in life can be meant and all of us mountain walkers have our own 'Everest' so combining those words with much respect to great mountaneers worldwide I thought it could work and it was free to use as a Internet domain when I decided to start.

Some on naming and conventions

I'll try to keep the names of locations in Italian, that is 'Valley' can be left as 'Val' (short) or 'Valle' when indicating proper names of areas, e.g.: Monte Mattone, Monte Amaro where 'Monte' is easy to understand as 'Mount'. You get the sense.

This is not a Blogger website

Please do not take this website as a common blogger with scheduled articles publishing for satisfying search engine indexing in order to gain traffic and place advertising.

This is not meant to be a blogger website even though is called 'Blog'.

...and is not a travel blog

Please do not think of this website as a travel guide. I will not be publishing how to go out or light a fire ...nothing like that.

I will be giving references when possible to the areas and routes of course but without intention to give them as a guide to do touristical activities, sorry.

With much respect, philosophy is not for me. I'll express my vision, the perception I gain from experiencing life and whatever I'll be writing is not intended to be the ultimate truth. As all humans beings, equipped with undamaged brain and mind (hopefully), what I write here is in my own vision in freedom of life, experience and speech.
